Head Trainer

Courtney Germain leads the training program at Windstar Farm with a thoughtful, individualized approach rooted in years of hands-on experience. She grew up in the hunter/jumper world, developing her skills on a variety of challenging and unconventional horses—an experience that helped shape her into the versatile and patient trainer she is today.

As a junior, Courtney trained with Geralyn Szczurko and competed in both Equitation and the Large Junior Hunters, most memorably with her beloved and quirky horse, Freddy.  She continued her riding career at Worcester State University, where she competed at the Open level on the IHSA Team.

After graduating in 2018, Courtney stepped into the role of Head Trainer at Windstar Farm. She specializes in creating tailored training programs that support the unique needs and goals of each horse and rider. Whether working with juniors, amateurs, or developing young horses, Courtney is known for her calm, encouraging presence and her dedication to helping every partnership thrive.
